One of the steps for admission is your acknowledgment of the criminal background check and urine drug screen to be completed and passed prior to the beginning of your practicum hours using CastleBranch (fee required). Emails will be sent prior to the beginning of NRSG 326 which will include instructions, practicum overviews, and forms. We are contractually obligated to report flagged background checks and drug screens to potential practicum sites. Practicum sites will then determine if the student can be placed/accepted at their site. These results are good for one year.

One of the steps for admission is your acknowledgement of the requirements to be completed prior to beginning your practicum hours in the BSN and MSN portion, and the required work documentation prior to enrolling in the MSN courses. A reminder and instruction emails will be sent to your Olivet email prior to the beginning of NRSG 326 in the BSN portion and during NRSG 501 and NRSG 526 for MSN requirements. We are contractually obligated to report flagged background checks and drug screens to potential practicum sites. Practicum sites will then determine if the student can be placed/accepted at their site.

In the BSN portion, prior to NRSG 326: Community Health Nursing, you will be required to complete and pass a criminal background check and urine drug screen using CastleBranch (fee required). These results are good for 1 year and must be repeated in the MSN portion.

In the MSN portion, you will be required to self-enroll into a practicum requirements course specific to your chosen track. You will be required to submit 2,000 work hours as an RN prior to starting the MSN program, complete and pass a criminal background check and urine drug screen and submit physical exam, immunizations, tests, titers, CPR card, and insurance card prior to practicum/clinical hours.

All items submitted to CastleBranch must include students’ name and demographic information, results, and date. Upon admission to the MSN program, you should begin collecting your immunization/titer records from your Primary Healthcare Provider, high school, nursing school, etc. as students in the past struggled in obtaining their records in a timely manner. It is vital to keep your documents in a secure place.
